Huck Fin Fishing Tour (School field trip)

Come experience fishing with Huck Finn and friends. Learn about fish and the importance to the ecosystem. We clean the fish and pack them in ice for travel. This is a great opportunity for biology and anatomy sciences.

Experience the thrill of stream panning for REAL gold and minerals! Students learn about the importance of the GOLD RUSH and it's impact to California and the United States. We explore California history. Learn what life was like for the miners and pioneers. Students keep their find!

Spend the day learning about what life was like on the farm. Children will actually milk a goat, collect eggs and make butter, while learning the importance of every day chores as a 1800's homesteader.

Nature / Bird (School field trip)

Explore the beauty of nature! Students will learn about the native plants and trees that are incumbent in our area, the importance of why and what we can do to protect our natural resources. They will learn the basic characteristics of birds, examine several bird eggs and participate in a variety of hands on activities, such as build a bird nest or make a special treat for the birds.

It is Harvest Time!!! Experience life in apple country. Learn about cider pressing with an antique cider press, then taste fresh apples and cider. Explore interesting facts about apples, and the importance of the Harvest.

Who was Johnny Appleseed? Is he real or folklore? Learn about the man that made an impact on pioneer history. Children will experience apple country in Oak Glen filled with all the activities enjoyed in the Harvest Tour. The children will receive a special treat from Johnny Appleseed.

We explore the predator / prey and the food chain. Students get a close-up view of bears, seals, geese, snakes and much more. Students learn about habitats and the difference between mammals and reptiles. This tour is filled with a variety of activities tailored to each grade level meeting the California curriculum standards.

Students learn about conversation and tangible ways they can help heal the earth. We explore the effects global warming is having on our animals, plants and where we live.

Experience life in Apple Country. Make fresh apple cider with an antique cider press, then taste fresh apples and cider. Explore the history of Oak Glen and the apple ranching heritage. Visit an apple rancher's first home. Learn interesting facts about apples and the importance of the harvest.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at Apple Annie's. Your choice of fresh sourdough bread bowl filled with chili or soup or a half of delicious oven roasted turkey sandwich with a bowl of soup and your choice of soda or cider. Take home a fresh home made 5LB ORIGINAL MILE HIGH APPLE PIE.

Apple Annie's Heritage Tour

Have a luncheon at Apple Annie's in the Heritage Room, decorated with Oak Glen apple memorabilia. You will have a choice of a delicious, traditional Annie's fried chicken in a basket served with cole slaw, or a fresh sourdough bread bowl filled with chili or our house soup. Top it off with a slice of our 5LB ORIGINAL MILE HIGH APPLE PIE with choice of coffee, tea or soda. Apple Annie's will share with you the heritage of the bakery and restaurant and the impact it has on Oak Glen. Join us at Farmer John's for a special treat. Bottle feed the baby sheep, goats and pigs. Use an antique cider press to make fresh Apple Cider. Taste mountain fresh apples and cider. Then make a special treat for all the beautiful birds that inhabit Oak Glen and listen for their song. Take a stroll through the specialty shops in the Village or sit and play a game of checkers. You may even want to take a few moments and breath in the fresh air and enjoy all the natural beauty.
